PAC Badminton 2009 Results

As part of the activities for PAC 30th Anniversary, a badminton tournament was held on April 5th 2009.
The competition venue was Tenby School (formerly Sri Inai) in Jalan Kelawai and was open to members, members’ family as well as guests.
A token sum of RM5 was collected from all participants to help defray the costs of holding the competition.
A total of 25 persons took part, and were divided into 3 teams.

PAC rented all 3 courts at the venue for 3 hours (1pm to 4pm) and a total of 15 matches were played on round-robin basis consisting of 3 mens’ doubles, 1 mixed doubles and 1 ladies doubles.
It was a very well run and friendly competition and all participants had a lot of fun.
Since this was to commemorate PAC 30th anniversary, it was decided that all participants would be provided prizes. The winners received PAC new round neck t-shirts, runners-up PAC grey round neck t-shirts and the 2nd runners-up received PAC 30th anniversary towels. Prizes were presented during PAC 30th Anniversary Dinner.

Date: 5-4-2009 (SUNDAY)
Venue: Sri Inai (Tensby) International School, Kelawai Road (next to Mobil petrol station)
Time: 1.00 pm to 4.00pm (please be on court by 12.30pm)
Usage: All 3 courts, green cement court
Shuttles: Suitable Competition Shuttlecocks (RCL-Titanium)
Fees: RM5.00 (members & non-members)
Refreshments: Own (even though Club will be providing drinking water)
Rules: At best to follow BWF rules (briefing 12.45pm)
Scoring: New system 21 points (best of 2 games)
Group: Team event (4 to 6 groups; depending number of participants-grouping will be done by Organizer)
Souvenirs: All participants will be given one
Prizes: Champion & runners-up (if funds and time permit 3rd placing will be considered)
