Hike from Air Itam to Sungai Pinang (Balik Pulau)

Registration time : 07:30 am at entrance to Kek Lok Si (the bottom one)
Hike to start : 8:00 am
Duration of hike : 4 hrs (1 way)
Grade of hike : quite tough
Transport after the hike : to make it more adventurous, will take Rapid bus back to Balik Pulau or Telok Bahang (whichever way suitable for you)
What to bring : drinking water, lunch, rain coat, umbrella, dry clothing for change and etc.

PAC Cendana Hikathon 2010 is upon us once again. This year there will be 2 runs simultaneously, the usual competitive Cendana Hikathon, and the additional non-competititve Fun Run.
Fees:
Cendana Hikaton: RM15 per participant, RM10 for students
Fun Run: RM10 per participant
REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE: on or before 2nd MAy 2010.
T-shirt collection date: 16th May 2010, 10am to 2pm Youth Park Archery Area. NO T-shirt and running number collection on event day.

Dear PAC Members.
Yesterday’s 31st AGM 2010 saw a healthy turn out of PAC members. Its good to still notice member’s healthy concern for the club. The 2009 Annual Report and Audited Accounts were adopted. 28 amendments to PAC’s constitution were discussed. The constitution in its entirety was adopted unanimously after taking into account the changes suggested during the AGM. The election of PAC’s Management Committee 2010-2012 was held an below are your new committee members.

Sri Nipah Apartment at Sg. Nibong, Penang shall be the first apartment in Malaysia to adopt EM Biotechnology.
The apartment is a low density 9 storey building consisting of 72 units 3 bedrooms apartment nested in an enclave of double storey semi-detached houses (Lip Sin Garden) in Penang Island.
The following are steps taken by Sri Nipah Residential Management Committees:
1) Current repainting works in progress on the apartment shall be using EM formulated wheather bonds paint only.
2) The Management Committees has decided to adopt EM and instructed the management company GE Tan Realty to use EM activated solution for cleaning of all the apartment common areas, toilets in replacement of chemical detergent and garden in replacement of chemical fertilizer and pesticides.
3) The Sri Nipah Residential Management Committees will organise EM awareness and educational talks to the residents from time to time and hopefully the whole block will eliminate or reduce chemical detergent.
4) Upon completion of the building painting, the committee will invite YB Phee Boon Poh (Penang State Minister for Environment) to inaugurate the launching of converting a conventional building into Eco-Friendly & Environmental beneficial building using EM technology – First in Malaysia.

A decision has been that this year’s Children’s Adventure Camp (CAC) typically in December will not be held this year as a precaution against the spreading H1N1 pandemic.
