AGM 2010

Dear PAC Members.

Yesterday’s 31st AGM 2010 saw a healthy turn out of PAC members. Its good to still notice member’s healthy concern for the club. The 2009 Annual Report and Audited Accounts were adopted. 28 amendments to PAC’s constitution were discussed. The constitution in its entirety was adopted unanimously after taking into account the changes suggested during the AGM. The election of PAC’s Management Committee 2010-2012 was held an below are your new committee members.

Notice for 31st Annual General Meeting 2010

Longest Trail Hike

Penang Adventurers’ club is organising a hike to Penang longest trail, it is open to the public.

Details :- Date : 15/11/09 (Sunday) Route : Penang longest trail (from Penang Hill to Telok Bahang, one way only)

Meet at : top station of Penang hill, opposite hawker centre

Registration time : 08:30 am

Hike start time : 09:00 am

Charge : RM4/= for adults

Grade of hike : Tough

Duration of hike : 4~ 5 hours.

Ending point : Taman Rimba, Telok Bahang.

Things to bring : drinking water (at least 1.5 litres), rain coat, lunch, 1set of dry clothing to change after the hike)

Note : you have to arrange your own transport back home after the hike either ask friends to fetch you or take public bus back to town.

Expedition to Mt Bintang, Kedah

PAC is organizing an expedition to the highest mountain in Kedah, Mt Bintang (1862m) in Sedim, Kulim on 19-20th December 2009 as a conclusion to PAC 30th Anniversary celebration.

Fee for members are RM50 and non members RM70.  Mode of transport is carpool and drivers of each car will be paid RM60.  Each car has to take 3 other participants (4 in a car).

Tshirst will be provided but food is on your own based on food groups.Dateline for registration is 15 November 2009. Please confirm participation by e-mail to zaidi_bidin@yahoo.co.uk or sms to 0164423519 (please include name).

One Million Apologies to Mother Earth

Hi all

Thanks to your efforts, PAC members and friends managed to achieve our pledge to make 50k EM Mudballs. Overall Penangites managed to exceed the target of 1Million EM Mudballs.

This Saturday, 8th August 2009, at 8am Gurney Drive (Sunrise/ McD end) there will be a EM Mudball throwing ceremony to commemorate our achievements. An initial 200k EM Mudballs will be throw into Gurney Drive beachfront (which is turning into a swamp) – and we hope in a few months time we will get back the beauty of  our beloved icon.

So do turn up to celebrate your efforts and help us throw the EM Mudballs into Gurney Drive this Saturday as the first of our Apology to Mother Earth.

PAC Members who wish to turn up, pls wear a PAC T-shirt.
