PAC Badminton 2009 Results

As part of the activities for PAC 30th Anniversary, a badminton tournament was held on April 5th 2009.
The competition venue was Tenby School (formerly Sri Inai) in Jalan Kelawai and was open to members, members’ family as well as guests.
A token sum of RM5 was collected from all participants to help defray the costs of holding the competition.
A total of 25 persons took part, and were divided into 3 teams.

PAC rented all 3 courts at the venue for 3 hours (1pm to 4pm) and a total of 15 matches were played on round-robin basis consisting of 3 mens’ doubles, 1 mixed doubles and 1 ladies doubles.
It was a very well run and friendly competition and all participants had a lot of fun.
Since this was to commemorate PAC 30th anniversary, it was decided that all participants would be provided prizes. The winners received PAC new round neck t-shirts, runners-up PAC grey round neck t-shirts and the 2nd runners-up received PAC 30th anniversary towels. Prizes were presented during PAC 30th Anniversary Dinner.

Prizes : Top 3 prizes of each category. Souvenirs for all participants, all prizes are subsidized by the club.

Time: 5 pm (Sat.) starts
Venue : Muka Head, Penang National Park
Cost : RM5 (member), RM7/= (non member)
Meet at: Entrance to Pg National park, T. Bahang
Tent : Bring own tent or rent it from the club at RM20/= per tent (you must carry your tent)
Food: Bring own food
Things to bring: Torch light, rain coat, cooking equipments and personal belonging.

Remark : Camp site is small, the park allows max. 20 tents per day, so please confirm early so that we can book the camp site fast.

PAC 30th Anniversary Dinner
Penang Adventurers’ Club will be celebrating its 30th anniversary dinner on Saturday, 18th April 2009 at the Ballroom, Copthorne Orchid Hotel at 6.30 pm
The cost is RM25 per member and RM50 for non members which includes a sit down halal dinner, door gifts, lucky draws and entertainment and of course lots of fun. All these are subsidized by the club.
Sitting arrangement will be on a first come first served basis and priority will be given to those who booked the whole table. Tables are limited.
